I have two vertical blinds each with a centre draw split. Would like the blinds to be able to stack on that side also. Each blind has both a draw chord and a chain that opens and closes the slats on the same side. So if your door opens on the right side the door slides open from the right and then goes to the left then opt for left stack vertical blinds and if the door opens on the left side then go for right stack vertical blinds.

They will draw to the right where the vanes can be tilted closed. Split stack vertical blinds open from the center and open to each side leaving a stack of vertical blinds on each side. Standard vertical blinds draw or open to one side. Stack positions are oriented looking at them from the inside where the vertical blind is mounted.

Split or side stack vertical blinds. The split stack position sometimes referred to as center open draws the vanes to the center. The left stack position has the vane slats stacking on the left. Step 1 pull the blind cord to open the slats on the blinds completely.

With vertical blinds the stack side is usually on the opposite side of the window from the door opening or window opening. In the event you have furniture or some other obstruction on the right that prevents you from seeing through the window or prevents you from walking through the glass doorway you can change the cord direction of your vertical blinds to have them open and slide to the right. Next remove the headrail and turn it around so the controls are on the opposite side. You can get your vertical blinds customized to open at the center instead of on the sides.

The task of changing the opening and closing direction of the vanes does not require expensive tools or accessing the internal components of the vertical blind. The control position of your levolor vertical blind can be changed if it is not a split draw with autowand. To change the control from one side to the other first remove all vanes if already attached. But need to be able to change the operating mechanism somehow in order for the blinds to have a side draw.

You can dismount the vertical blinds and turn them around so you can mount them the other way. Finish by reattaching the vanes. As a result side stack vertical blinds are ideal as they stack to one side. I want to use both of them on a large window.

If you have a side opening or stacking vertical blind and you want to change the direction of its operation to the center the headrail must be changed. Gently push up on the outside edge of the valance if installed until the valance clip clicks free of the vertical blind header.
